Congratulations to Michael Brian Harkins, MD for recently achieving an SRC accreditation as a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery. In practice for over 25 years, Dr. Harkins’s interest in minimally invasive surgery began during his residency at Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He has been a leader in advancing laparoscopic surgical techniques in the Northwest Houston area, where his practice has been based since 1997. He is an independent affiliate of the Surgical Advanced Specialty Center in Tomball, Texas. Since 2014, Dr. Harkins converted most of his practice to robotic surgery and trains surgeons in robotic procedures throughout the United States. Dr. Harkins is also a Surgeon of Excellence in Robotic Surgery with HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball.
