Medical Director and Director of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Center at Mediclinic Middle East, Dr. Safwan Abdul-Rahman Taha has held his Master Surgeon accreditation since 2017. Last year, Dr. Taha helped launch an innovative 3D surgical system used for laparoscopic surgeries to its operating rooms. Following the launch of this system, he said, “Staying abreast of the latest surgical advancements and innovative solutions is a testament to our commitment to excellence in patient care, quality and safety.” Dr. Taha has published over 30 medical papers and was the first surgeon to win SAGES prestigious ‘Fellowship Award’ twice.
