It’s Patient Safety Awareness Week and as a patient safety organization, we feel it is a week to celebrate!

The World Health Organization defines Patient Safety as a health care discipline that emerged with the evolving complexity in health care systems and the resulting rise of patient harm in health care facilities. It aims to prevent and reduce risks, errors and harm that occur to patients during delivery of health care. A cornerstone of the discipline is continuous improvement based on learning from errors and adverse events.

We couldn’t agree more, which is how SRC got its start. We prioritize safe patient care and so do our accredited providers. Premier hospitals and surgeons around the world undergo our rigorous and independent evaluation to become accredited. They are committed to improving the quality of patient care with innovation and compassion.

The requirements for SRC’s accreditation programs have been proven to improve outcomes and reduce the time patients will spend in the hospital. They are designed to enhance the way patients receive health care services. No one benefits from poor outcomes.

Patients look for our gold seal because they know it indicates excellence. Find SRC-accredited providers easily with our Find A Provider tool.
