| The Strategic Alliances Group (SAG) develops
collaborative relationships with industry stakeholders including professional
liability insurers, health plans, networks, health care associations and
accrediting bodies, patient advocacy groups, pharmaceutical companies, medical
device manufacturers, government representatives, consultants and other health
care industry stakeholders.
SAG works with health care stakeholders in bariatric surgery to improve outcomes
and patient value. Strategic Alliances Group goals include:

disseminate Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence® listings to recognize top
performing centers,

reduce resources utilized by programs to complete survey questions,
-
collaborate with stakeholders on measurement criteria and data collection
tools,

improve bariatric surgery coverage,
-
reduce medical malpractice premiums,

stay informed on bariatric program technologies and published journal articles,
and

explore ways to improve the field of bariatric surgery.
