Surgical Review Corporation Provides BSCOE Informational Teleconferences and Online Bold™ Training Sessions

Weekly BSCOE Teleconferences

SRC has established a series of teleconferences to provide assistance to bariatric surgery programs seeking to meet the requirements for initial application or renewal as a BSCOE. The conferences also are designed to assist centers and surgeons prepare for the required site inspection.

Each Monday at Noon EST, SRC hosts a teleconference to answer questions, discuss updates regarding new developments in the BSCOE program, provide useful tips for site inspection preparation and discuss BOLD. The teleconferences are led by a SRC site inspector and a member of the BOLD™ support team. The sessions are for informational purposes only — SRC does not link questions to a specific hospital, surgeon, or caller in any way. While participation is completely voluntary, all BSCOE program participants are encouraged to join the call. It’s an opportunity to ask questions or just simply listen in.

SRC hopes that you will find this resource helpful. For those who are unable to participate in the calls, a summary of the questions and answers from each week’s session are posted on SRC’s Web site.

To participate, use the following call-in information:

Date and Time: Every Monday at Noon EST
Dial: 1-888-387-8686
Participant Code: 1159589#

We look forward to seeing you each Monday at noon!

BOLD™ Online Training Sessions

To assist BSCOE programs and their staff navigate BOLD, SRC holds weekly online training sessions each Tuesday and Thursday. These online training events are designed to walk participants through the administrative setup of BOLD and how to begin the data entry process.

The Webinars last approximately one hour and will take participants through the entire patient experience while exposing them to all of the data elements required of the BOLD application. No reservations are required and participants may attend as many sessions as necessary to ensure their comfort with using BOLD. Click here to register and receive the Webinar ID/link and audio access code.

“I encourage participants to attend one of these training events,” said Mike Warthen, Manager, Research Databases. “For participants who still need assistance with specific issues, one-on-one training can be arranged.”
