SRC Working to Rectify Inappropriate Medicare Reimbursement Denials

SRC has learned that some ASMBS Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence® facilities or surgeons may be experiencing inappropriate reimbursement denials for bariatric surgery care provided to Medicare members. If your program has experienced reimbursement denials for Medicare claims, SRC would like to hear about the specifics.

Please fill out a form once for each patient for whom bariatric surgical services were denied reimbursement. The completed form(s) may either be faxed to our office at 919.981.4462 or mailed to the following address:

SRC is working closely with CMS and others to rectify issues that appear to be related to intervention by Medicare intermediaries that are inconsistent with the NCD.
