Humana Launches Bariatric Surgery Management Program Using ASMBS BSCOE Hospitals and Surgeons

SRC is pleased to announce that Humana has launched a bariatric surgery management program to serve members who have a bariatric surgery benefit and meet bariatric surgery qualifications. This program, effective July 16, 2007, focuses on guiding members to Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence® (BSCOE). Specialized bariatric nurses will be available for Humana members to help them select appropriate centers, obtain authorizations (if needed) and coordinate bariatric surgery-related care for six months post surgery.
