Surgical Review Corporation is a non-profit corporation governed by a
Board of Directors comprised of industry stakeholders. The Board of
Directors is responsible for the overall governance of the company.
An Executive Committee consisting
of several members of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer
(CEO) operates as an advisory committee to the CEO and as a conduit between the
CEO and the Board of Directors.
SRC's Bariatric Surgery Review
Committee consists exclusively of experienced, respected bariatric
surgeons. The Bariatric Surgery Review Committee assesses applicants to the
Bariatric Surgery Centers of Excellence® program and helps formulate program
requirement and guidelines.
The Research Advisory Committee,
comprised of a variety of medical and scientific professionals, oversees the
collection, analysis and dissemination of data, assesses outcomes, and makes
recommendations for the improvement of quality and patient safety.
The Strategic Alliances Group brings
together patient groups, providers, payors and other industry stakeholders in
an effort to improve outcomes and provide patient, provider and payor value.
The Research Consortium provides a
unique forum for program participants to interact with members of the Research
Advisory Committee and SRC staff and participate in research projects, clinical
trials, publication of data and other activities.

Ms. Sneve has over 15 years of health care experience, with 11 years in the
field of transplant network development. For nine years she led the National
Transplant Network for Humana Inc. She also worked as a transplant contractor
for the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison and John L.
Doyne Hospital in Milwaukee. Ms. Sneve has a master’s degree in Public
Administration, with a certificate in Hospital Administration from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Dr. Hughes has over 20 years of experience in conducting research in various sectors — academic, government, private industry and non-profit. She provided research leadership for the Jackson Heart Study’s multi-million dollar Data Coordinating Center funded by NIH-NHLBI. Dr. Hughes is an affiliated faculty to East Carolina University, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson State University and University of Western Cape-South Africa. She is a graduate of the University of California-Berkeley with both master's and doctorate degrees in epidemiology.
