The University of Washington Medical Center is now accredited as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. For more than a decade, its multidisciplinary team of surgeons have been at the forefront of using minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgery to help patients recover faster and experience less pain than traditional surgery.
SRC is also proud to recognize University of Washington Department of Surgery’s Dr. James O. Park as a Surgeon of Excellence. He performed the first robotic assisted liver resection in the Pacific Northwest and continues to research cutting-edge nanotechnology to improve diagnosis and treatment of liver cancer.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Theodore Goldman has achieved accreditation as a Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Goldman is Associate Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Northwell Health Physician Partners OB/GYN in New York. SRC is honored to recognize Dr. Justin Paul Gusching as Surgeon of Excellence in Plastic Surgery at SRC-accredited Center of Excellence in Plastic Surgery, Southern Surgical Arts. He is triple board-certified, accredited as a Surgeon of Excellence in Body Contouring, and passionate about helping his patients reach their goals.
Driven by a sense of mission and purpose, Dr. Gusching also serves as a field surgeon with the Ohio Army National Guard where he recently finished a tour in Iraq. His volunteerism extends to Guatemala where he travels each year to treat hundreds of patients in desperate need as a general surgeon.
Reston Hospital Center has renewed its commitment to patient care and safety as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. The hospital was first accredited by SRC in 2013 and continues to stay ahead of the latest developments in women’s care. Its surgeons and staff, including Dr. Danielle Austin and Dr. Evelyn S. Felluca, are committed to ensuring patients receive advanced, comprehensive care.
Kettering Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Kettering Health Network, has earned accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery. Its accredited surgeons use the da Vinci System, which features a magnified 3D high-definition vision system and tiny wristed instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human wrist. As a result, the surgeons are able to operate with enhanced vision, precision, dexterity, and control.

Dr Claire Serrato MD has been SRC accredited as a Master Surgeon in Minimally Invasive Gynecology since 2017. We are pleased to announce that she has recently renewed her commitment to patient safety and superior care. Dr. Serrato has over 20 years of experience and loves all aspects of gynecology. She has advanced training in performing minimally invasive surgery as well as interpreting gynecological diagnostic ultrasounds, allowing her to provide very personalized options based on her ultrasound findings.
Congratulations to Dr. John R. Wagner, who is now accredited as a Master Surgeon in both Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Robotic Surgery. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Wagner is an expert gynecologic surgeon who specializes in laparoscopic, vaginal and robotic surgery. He was the first doctor in the United States to report performing a hysterectomy with a single incision laparoscopic technique, which uses a single, often invisible, belly button incision.
