The world’s second-largest bariatric surgery society, the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Bariátrica e Metabólica (SBCBM) (http://www NULL.sbcbm NULL.org NULL.br/), launched its center of excellence program – Centro de Excelência em Cirurgia Bariátrica – in mid-2010. The SBCBM program was developed for surgeons and hospitals that perform bariatric and metabolic surgery in Brazil and has been embraced by the country’s leading healthcare providers. SBCBM designees are also awarded the ICE designation and are included within the ICE locator page.
