Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Clinical Quality and Compliance
Neil Hutcher is an accomplished surgeon and a widely recognized leader in the advancement of surgical specialties, especially as it relates to patient education and advocacy on the federal and state levels. He began practicing medicine in Richmond in 1973 and, prior to joining SRC, held the position of Managing Director at Commonwealth Surgeons. Dr. Hutcher has served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at both the Medical College of Virginia and McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is also a past president of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Hutcher received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where he also completed a residency in general surgery and specialty fellowship training in transplant surgery.
Senior Director, Clinical Quality and Compliance
June Hill is a highly successful operating room nurse with more than 35 years of experience. Prior to joining SRC, Ms. Hill was the Director of Robotics at Bon Secours Mercy Health, one of the nation’s largest Catholic health care systems, where she led the organization in achieving SRC accreditation as a Center of Excellence in six practice areas. She is a nationally recognized speaker and clinical consultant for Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the da Vinci robotic surgical system. Ms. Hill has worked in a Level-1 trauma center and in areas including robotics, cardiac, bariatric, urology, gynecology, thoracic and general surgery. She is a demonstrated leader in program development, strategic operational planning and physician relations. Ms. Hill received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Chamberlain University.
Senior Manager, Accreditation and Education, Senior Site Inspector
With over 40 years of experience in nursing, Teresa Leath brings a wealth of diverse medical experience to her role at SRC. She began her career as a registered nurse, working in the medical-surgical units and emergency departments of community hospitals and Level II trauma centers. As an operating room nurse, Ms. Leath developed proficiencies in numerous surgical disciplines and was a preceptor for new employees. During her years as a bariatric coordinator, Ms. Leath established support groups and organized patient management programs at two separate facilities.
Ms. Leath joined SRC in 2010. As Senior Site Inspector, Ms. Leath has performed thousands of site inspections for SRC throughout the world. She works closely with facilities and surgeons to help them improve their surgical patient care programs. Ms. Leath also develops requirements for SRC’s accreditation programs and hosts educational seminars and webinars. Ms. Leath received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Sue Bunnell’s extensive background in healthcare includes a wide variety of roles . Ms. Bunnell has successfully led organizations in attaining and maintaining a center of excellence accreditation. During her career, Ms. Bunnell developed outreach programs to increase surgical and center volumes, utilized process improvement principles to continually improve the standardization of care and improved profitability of the programs she led. She was viewed as a valued resource to her patients, and her ability to build relationships with physicians and staff contributed to the success of the many programs she managed. Ms. Bunnell is a graduate of Kaplan University (Purdue University Global) with a Bachelor of Science in health and wellness and a master’s degree in healthcare administration.
With over 30 years of nursing experience, Lauren Sweet has worked in critical care, cardiology and quality with an emphasis in operating room nursing. Ms. Sweet has directed operating room teams in various specialties that include robotics, general surgery and gynecology. While working at her last hospital, Lauren led the organization to help achieve four SRC accreditations, and now she will guide other potential designees in achieving theirs. Ms. Sweet received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Andrews University.
John Archibeque has more than 30 years of experience as a nurse in various settings, including bariatrics, women’s health care, home health and within higher education as an associate professor of nursing. Mr. Archibeque has effectively led and managed multidisciplinary teams for a range of organizations across health care networks to ensure successful patient and clinical outcomes. Mr. Archibeque currently holds appointments as the President of Allied Health and a board of directors member for the Texas Association of Bariatrics. He is also the Chairman of Integrated Health Communications Committee for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a frequent guest lecturer on obesity and weight loss surgery and has been featured on PBS. Mr. Archibeque graduated from the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences, Austin Community College and the University of Phoenix, where he received a bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degrees in nursing and business administration.
Manager, Site Inspection
Vickie Poor brings over 30 years of experience in office management and customer support as the executive assistant to CEOs, CMO and CFOs. Prior to joining SRC, she worked in the healthcare and medical device industries – a cardiovascular company enhancing medical devices with a drug-delivery system and a specialty oncology pharmaceutical company. Before her career as a C-suite support professional, Ms. Poor earned her certification as an electroencephalogy technician. Ms. Poor coordinates SRC’s site inspection activities and provides close support to SRC’s site inspection team.
Program Support Administrator
Sarah White brings more than 10 years of administrative and customer support experience to SRC. Prior to joining the company, she managed office operations, patient services and scheduling efforts in a large, multi-physician practice. At SRC, she serves in various capacities on the CARE Program, Communications and Clinical Quality & Compliance teams. Ms. White earned a bachelors’ degree in communications from Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pennsylvania.
